Members presentation and walk April 2022

Several YDHS members enjoyed an interesting and informative excursion recently to the former RAAF No. 10 Radar Station at Cape Jervis. The site visit was preceded by a PowerPoint talk at Second Valley Hall by Ron Blum which set the scene for the visit. The former radar station at Cape Jervis is a rare surviving example of the measures adopted for the defence of Australia during the Second World War, and one of two wartime RAAF radar station sites in South Australia, the other being No. 7 at Wedge Island.
