Forbes' van

Forbes' van was used to deliver goods from the Avon store to outlying areas. Barely legible on the canvas of the van are the words "Forbes & Co. Wool (?) Buyers. Farmers Providers". The couple in the picture are most likely Charles Forbes junior, who took over the Avon store at Yankalilla about 1904, and his second wife Elizabeth Teresa (nee Smith).
