The road (Williss Drive) leading out of Normanville towards Lady Bay. The masonry for the bridge was done by Sara and Sons. The bridge was opened on 10 June 1869 with great pomp and ceremony. The Yankalilla Band was present, and the opening ceremony was performed by Miss Fanny Herbert, the daughter of Septimane Herbert.
